These surplus tires were previously mounted on wheel assemblies, but were never installed on a vehicle and still have their rubber molding marks from factory. However, they are being sold with a steep discount due to various external blemishes and old production dates (late 1990’s / early 2000’s).
Other than their date codes, common flaws many of these tires will have are:
- hairline surface checking between the tire lugs (or at the top edge of the sidewall)
- light cuts, scuffs, or gouges
- chain/strap imprints from storage on spare tire carriers
