Internal, single-piece rubber Humvee run flat inserts, sized specifically for use with 37×12.50R16.5LT tires and 16.5″ x 8.25″ two-piece Humvee rims (12-bolt or 24-bolt).
This type of beadlock functions by physically keeping the beads of the tire spaced apart internally, ultimately forcing both sides to remain seated firmly against the flanges of the rim. However, because the thickness of a tire’s bead varies based on its size (and even the tire manufacturer), this type of beadlock will often only work for the specific tire and wheel combination they were originally designed for.

Although it may seem intimidating, these run flat inserts can be installed with common household tools and a bit of muscle. In this video, we walk you through the process step-by-step, demonstrating how to install a Humvee run flat into a 37×12.50R16.5LT tire using only a ratchet-strap, a pry bar and hammer, and tire-safe lube (avoid petroleum-based lubricants).
